I know Miami isnt really recruiting him unless he gets his grades up. Heck they stopped recruiting Hazelton, Hazelton called and said he wanted to go there, they still didnt offer and then he picked USC over Penn State. Miami is having a real hard time this year finding kids that can get into school that want to play there. The same thing is happening with Preston Parker and Orlando Franklin. They might lose both to FSU because of grades.

Might need a new source...
Georgia's top recruit close to FSU commitment?/
Five-star linebacker Marcus Ball is one of the most sought after recruits in the 2006 class. He's also one of the hardest guys to get a hold of. But the 6-foot, 210-pound linebacker has been raving about his visit to Florida State this past weekend. The nation's No. 2 ranked outside linebacker has yet to commit, but Stephenson head coach Ronald Gartrell thinks he may have a hint as to his player's future.
"I'm not a betting man, but if I was, I'd bet Florida State," said Gartrell. "He's been there more than anywhere else. The kids tease him about FSU. I'm not a betting man though, I've never even won a dollar."
That would naturally mean that the Rivals100 member had a great visit to Tallahassee last weekend.
"He had a good visit as far as I know," said Gartrell. "FSU is right up there with one of the top choices."
Miami and Florida are two other schools that get mentioned a lot but so far no visits have been set up to either school.
On Friday night, Ball is scheduled to speak at the middle school banquet, but does he know something that we don't know?
"He can make his decision tomorrow, or he can make it in February," said Gartrell. "He may already know, but we have five or six Division 1-A prospects on the team. I let these guys handle the decision making with their families and they can come to me if they are stuck."
Gartrell said that unlike teammate Jermaine Cunningham, who announced his commitment to Florida on ESPNU Thursday night, Ball has no plans to have the pomp and circumstance for his commitment.
"I talked to Marcus today after school," said Gartrell. "I don't want to put any pressure on him. I've left it up to Marcus to make a decision now."
Ball racked up well over 100 tackles over the course of his senior season.
i've seen that...and it's about a month old

yeah it is, and his trip to Tech is about 2 months old, and he does have an offer from Miami, although he could prolly never get in.
The only way he goes to Va Tech is if the other schools pull out because of his grades, and it is a very good possibility, I think it's already happening...
he does not have a miami offer...rivals is wrong

Ok Rivals is wrong, the devil22 is right...
It doesn't matter if he has an offer or not, he could never get in, he'll be lucky to get into any of the Florida schools...
he wont be at any school next fall except prep school

Universities arent allowed to say who or who they havent offered. If someone like Ball say they have an offer you just have to take their word on it, but the truth is, alot of players lie and say that so and so offered them to help them boost their stock. Just my 2 cents.
